Please read these Terms carefully before booking a journey with Haitian Nomad.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your booking and travel with Haitian Nomad LLC (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a Delaware limited liability company.
By submitting a deposit, signing a booking form, or otherwise confirming a reservation with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Haitian Nomad plans and operates fully managed, culturally immersive group travel experiences to destinations around the world.
Our services typically include itinerary planning, accommodations, select meals, group activities, and on-the-ground coordination, as described in each trip's specific listing.
Each journey may include the following types of experiences:
Guided experiences with local communities, artisans, and traditions curated to reflect the authentic character of each destination.
Vetted hotels and lodging, group transportation, and day-to-day logistics handled by our team from arrival to departure.
Scheduled excursions, dining experiences, and signature activities included in your trip itinerary.
Optional experiences, room upgrades, or extensions may be available for an additional fee, subject to availability.
When you book a trip with Haitian Nomad, the following terms apply:
Trip prices are based on costs at the time of publication and may change due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or changes imposed by our travel partners.
Once your deposit is received, your per-person price is locked in, except for:
We will notify you as soon as possible of any price adjustment that affects your confirmed booking.
While we design each journey with care, itineraries are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
Reasons for itinerary changes may include:
When possible, we will substitute a comparable experience of similar value at no additional cost to you, which may include:
Haitian Nomad is not responsible for additional costs you incur due to itinerary changes outside of our control, such as personal flight rebooking fees.
We reserve the right to substitute trip leaders, guides, or vendors with qualified alternatives when necessary.
This may include:
Some journeys require a minimum number of travelers to proceed as planned.
If the minimum is not met, we may adjust the itinerary, offer an alternative date, or cancel the trip with a full refund of amounts paid to Haitian Nomad.
We will make this determination and notify affected travelers as early as reasonably possible before departure, which may include:
Where a trip is cancelled by Haitian Nomad under this section, our liability is limited to a refund of payments received; we are not responsible for related costs such as flights or visas booked independently.
We understand that plans change. The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings unless a specific trip's listing states otherwise.
Haitian Nomad offers a short window to cancel with a full refund. After that window closes, all deposits and payments become non-refundable.
Because all payments become non-refundable after 24 hours, travel insurance is required, not optional, for every Haitian Nomad journey — see Section 6 for details.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you meet all requirements to travel to your chosen destination(s).
You must hold a valid passport (typically valid for at least six months beyond your return date) and any visas, permits, or entry documents required for your itinerary. Haitian Nomad is not responsible for denied entry due to improper documentation.
Some destinations require or recommend specific vaccinations, medications, or health precautions. It is your responsibility to:
Haitian Nomad reserves the right to require proof of vaccination or health documentation where mandated by a destination or venue.
We recommend all travelers carry:
Travel insurance is required for every Haitian Nomad journey. Because all deposits and payments become non-refundable 24 hours after booking, and unforeseen events — illness, injury, a family emergency, flight disruptions, or the need to evacuate from a destination — can happen at any time, insurance is the only way to protect the money you've invested in your trip. We require proof of an active travel insurance policy, covering at minimum trip cancellation, trip interruption, and emergency medical and evacuation expenses, before your final trip documents are issued. Haitian Nomad does not sell travel insurance directly, but can recommend reputable providers upon request.
Haitian Nomad journeys are shared group experiences. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable trip for everyone, travelers agree to:
Haitian Nomad reserves the right to remove a traveler from a trip, without refund, if their conduct endangers the health, safety, or enjoyment of the group, at our sole discretion.
Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to transportation, adventure activities, unfamiliar environments, and circumstances beyond our control. By booking with us, you voluntarily assume these risks.
Haitian Nomad acts as an organizer and coordinator of travel experiences and works with third-party vendors, including hotels, airlines, guides, and activity providers. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or negligence of these independent third parties.
Haitian Nomad is not liable for delays, losses, injuries, or damages caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government actions, strikes, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your trip will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by law.
